KSU vs. Iowa State - Football

The 2011 regular season came to an end today for the Wildcats in the form of a, 30-23, victory over Iowa State. The scheduled 11:30 a.m. kickoff was delayed until 1:30 due to lightning in the area. The weather was cold, rainy, and, well, "football weather," I suppose. It was also "Senior Day" at Bill Snyder Family Stadium for all graduating (theoretically) players. Now K-State waits until 7:15 p.m. tonight (Sunday) to find out its bowl fate. Below are a few images from today's game.

Head Coach Bill Snyder talks into the ear of senior wide receiver Sheldon Smith before runs out onto the football field at Bill Snyder Family Stadium for the last time on Saturday afternoon. The K-State seniors left the stadium as winners after they defeated Iowa State, 30-23.
Linebacker Tre Walker meets force with force as he tackles Iowa State quarterback Jared Barnett Saturday during the rainy regular season finale at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Wildcats won the game, 30-23, and finished the the regular season with a 10-2 record.
Quarterback Collin Klein follows the block of B.J. Finney during Saturday's  game against Iowa State. Rain lightly fell throughout the afternoon, causing a delay of the game, but the Wildcats finished the regular season victorious beating the Cyclones, 30-23.
Wildcat receiver Tramaine Thompson crosses the goal line after catching a pass and running it into the end zone, completing a 68-yard touchdown play. Thompson had two receptions for 87 yards on Saturday, helping K-State defeat Iowa State, 30-23.
K-State quarterback Collin Klein, 7, yells in excitement after kneeling the ball one last time to run out the game clock Saturday against Iowa State. Klein, who rushed for 103 yards and passed for 158, led the Wildcats to a, 30-23, victory over the Cyclones and wrapped up a 10-2 regular season record heading into the bowl game.
