Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real

     Last night Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real played an amazing show at McCain Auditorium. I was first introduced to this band at Farm Aid in Kansas City earlier this summer. The band is led by singer and exceptional guitarist, Lukas Nelson, son of country music legend, Willie Nelson. I was given access to the band shortly after they arrived in Manhattan, and was able to photograph the band during sound check. I met all four members of the band, and all of them were very nice and down to earth. After the concert, I met up with them again, and shockingly, they remembered my name and thanked me for photographing the band and supporting them. I would have been at this show regardless of photographic access or not, as I am a big fan of the band. They played an electrifying set and left all who attended buzzing afterward.
