For the last few days I have been in the Dallas area spending time covering the 2012 Cotton Bowl as a photographer for the Kansas State Collegian. The Wildcats lost to Arkansas, 29-16, at Cowboys Stadium in front of a large crowd. It was by far the largest athletic event I have ever covered, and it was a great time, but what stands out the most to me from this trip is when we covered the K-State football team pay a visit to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Perhaps I am being too emotional about it, but the way the kids' eyes lit up and the smiles they had on their faces really struck me. Below are a few images from the past few days.
