PROTEST

Yesterday, I was sent to City Hall to cover protesting of a proposed city ordinance. To read more about the ordinance, click here.

A group from Westboro Baptist Church, who is led by Fred Phelps, came to protest against the ordinance. A group of over one hundred in favor of the ordinance also gathered at City Hall. About one hundred yards separated the two groups.

The following images are from the protest.

More than 100 people showed up in support of the city's proposed ordinance for sexual orientation equality.

  1. Lots of emotions while looking at these shots. I have to say, the third photograph did make me laugh out loud. I think because I wasn't expecting the guy's sign on the left to say what it did.
    Amazing photos! Well done.
